Baby Update

Aubrey is doing so well and has proved (so far...let's not jinx it!) to be such an angel. That doesn't mean we haven't had our moments...given hormones, late nights combined with adjusting to a lack of sleep...there are bound to be a little bumps. So far I have only had a few break downs :). Compare that with Kylee's babyhood and we have come leaps and bounds in that department!

Ask any new mother and nursing is a challenge. I thought the second time around would be a cinch...and...yeah...I was wrong! Come Monday I couldn't stand it anymore and scheduled an appointment with a lactation specialist. We found out Aubrey had lost nearly 10% of her body weight and that just added to the nursing stress. They helped a lot and things are looking up. Nursing is still extremely painful, but Aubrey had gained 2 ounces at her weigh in on Friday so we are taking that as great news!

I want to thank all of you who came to visit in the hospital and who so generously provided meals for us. We are truly blessed with great friends and family. I can't express my are all amazing and we love you!

I so need to see her again! How dare you not take visitors or visit due to chubbiness? Especially when I saw you one day after she was born so I know you are already back to your super model self!
Anyway, thanks for your kind comments on my blog. You are the best!

MISTI!! Congratulations on your absolutely beautiful little girl! She is just precious! Everytime I see a newborn and read about a birth story I just want to cry with joy--it is so exciting and wonderful!!! I'm so happy for you guys and that she is here safe and sound! I wish so badly I was there and could come visit you guys! I miss you and Erin a lot! I'll definitely give you a ring next time I'm in Utah and we'll have to get together. Best of luck with the nursing! I totally know exactly what you mean with the struggles. It seriously took me months before I didn't want to cry everytime i fed him, it hurt so bad. I talked to all these people that said they were fine and breastfeeding was a cinch--not so with me. It was so hard and so painful, but then it got better as you know. Hang in there, you'll be great this second time around--you're a pro!!!! Congrats again!

Congradulations! Hope you are all doing well. I just got a comment on my blog from Stacy and Neal. So, I promptly thereafter clicked on yours.

Tell Paul hello, looks as if he is a bit outnumbered! Enjoy not being pregnant.
